Additional Information

  • Origin: South Africa.
  • Brewing Instructions: Use 1 teaspoon (2.5g) per 180ml of water at 90°C - 95°C (194°F - 203°F). Steep for 3-4 minutes. Sweeten with honey if desired.
  • Packaging: Available in a 100gm pouch (approx. 40 cups) and a 100gm tin

The smell is strong, but I won't call it "bitter medicinal". Perhaps more savory, like soy sauce.

I typically purchase regular plain rooibos to mix with Serenity Now, as I find the latter a bit acidic on its own. However, this blend is now set to replace my regular rooibos. It’s incredibly smooth, with delightful hints of light honey and subtle nuttiness. It pairs perfectly with Serenity Now and is enjoyable on its own as well. I used to love the now-discontinued Rooibos de Provence, and mixing about 1/2 to 2/3 of plain rooibos with 1/2 or 1/3 of Serenity Now comes close to that flavor profile.
